Luggage Policy
One checked bag and one carry-on per passenger, included in every fare. Here is how much each vehicle actually holds, and what to do when you are carrying more than the average traveller.
What Is Included
Every Prime Rider fare includes this. No luggage surcharge for a normal airport load.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Typical luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sedan | 1–2 | About 4 bags | Solo travellers and couples |
| Large SUV | 3–4 | About 8 bags | Small families |
| Lux People Mover | 4–6 | About 12 bags | Families and groups; trailer available |
| Mini Bus | 6–11 | Bulk luggage | Corporate and sports groups; trailer available |
Oversized & Special Items
Prams and strollers
Folded prams travel free and do not count against your allowance. Mention them so we reserve the boot space.
Surfboards and skis
Carried in the People Mover, the Mini Bus or on a luggage trailer. Tell us the length when you book.
Golf clubs
One or two bags fit a Large SUV comfortably; a full four-ball needs a People Mover or trailer.
Musical instruments
Cased instruments up to cello size are fine in the larger vehicles. Fragile pieces can be belted into a seat on request.
Mobility aids
Folding wheelchairs, walkers and scooters are carried at no charge. Call us first if you need to remain seated in your chair.
Extra suitcases
More bags than the guide above? A luggage trailer is available with the People Mover and Mini Bus — quoted at booking.
What We Cannot Carry
Dangerous goods
Fuels, gas cylinders, fireworks, flammable liquids and similar dangerous goods cannot be carried in a passenger vehicle under any circumstances. This is a legal restriction, not a policy preference.
Loads that cannot be restrained
Anything that cannot be safely secured for the journey will be declined at the kerb. If you are unsure whether an item can be restrained, send us a photo before the day and we will tell you honestly.
Undeclared oversized items
We allocate your vehicle based on the passenger and luggage counts you give us. If significantly more luggage appears on the day than was booked, the driver may not be able to carry it and additional charges or a second vehicle may be required. A thirty-second mention at booking avoids all of this.
Valuables
Passengers remain responsible for their own valuables, travel documents and fragile items. Please check the vehicle before you leave — items left behind are returned wherever possible, but we cannot guarantee recovery.
Luggage FAQ
How much luggage is included in my fare?
One checked-in bag and one carry-on per passenger, in every vehicle class. There is no separate luggage charge for a normal airport load.
What if I have more bags than passengers?
Tell us at booking and we will allocate a larger vehicle, or add a luggage trailer with the People Mover or Mini Bus. It costs far less than a second vehicle sent at the last minute.
Do prams and strollers count as luggage?
A folded pram travels free and does not count against your bag allowance. Please mention it at booking so we leave the boot space for it.
Can you carry surfboards, skis or golf clubs?
Yes, with notice. Long items need a People Mover, a Mini Bus or a luggage trailer — a Sedan cannot take them no matter how well you pack. Tell us the item and length when you book.
What about musical instruments?
Cased instruments up to cello size travel in the People Mover or Mini Bus. Fragile or high-value instruments can be seat-belted into a passenger seat on request — let us know and we will price the seat.
Are there items you will not carry?
Dangerous goods — fuels, gas cylinders, fireworks and similar — cannot be carried in a passenger vehicle. Unsecured loose loads that cannot be safely restrained are also declined. If in doubt, ask before the day.
