When Parking Costs More Than Being Driven
Airport parking is priced per day, and the arithmetic turns against it quickly. A short domestic trip may well be cheaper in a car park; anything over about four or five days usually is not, once you compare the running total against two fixed transfer fares.
The other cost is the one nobody counts: the drive out at 4am, the shuttle from the long-term car park with your luggage, and the same walk in reverse on the way home after a long flight. A transfer removes both ends of that.
If you are still driving, the terminal you need decides the car park, so check the rates above against your dates before committing. If you are not, a fixed-fare quote takes under two minutes and settles the number before you leave.
